About Mygrotel

Mygrotel was founded in 2002 by Tom Buckle under the premise that there had to be a better way for businesses to manage voice and internet communications. And he was right. Almost immediately he began to save his clients time and money – invaluable resources that they could devote to more important things like growth and profit. Imagine that. Since that time, Mygrotel's MyAudit process has saved their clients on the order of tens of thousands of man hours and millions in hard dollars. Mygrotel became a woman owned (MEB) business and obtained Connecticut certification as a small business in 2011.

Sharon Zamin, Chief Executive Officer

Mygrotel, Inc., a telecommunication expense and vendor management company started in 2002, announced the promotion of Sharon Zamin to the position of Chief Executive Officer of Mygrotel, Inc. on July 1, 2011.

Working for the company since 2004, Ms. Zamin started in accounts payable soon advancing to Director of Accounts payable. In 2009 Ms. Zamin was again promoted to Vice President of Finance managing all aspects of Mygrotel's finances.

Through the years Ms. Zamin continually demonstrated her leadership capabilities to founder and President Tom Buckle. It became apparent that in order for the company to continue to grow, Mr. Buckle would step aside and focus more on sales and customer service leaving the responsibility of determining overall company strategy and day the day operations to Ms. Zamin.


Tom Buckle, President, Mygrotel, Inc.

After graduating from the University of Florida with a degree in Economics, Tom Buckle started his telecommunications career at General Dynamic's telephone equipment division selling Key and PBX telephone systems. Realizing the enormous potential in the emerging long distance market, Mr. Buckle joined Sprint as an Account Executive. After a few years at Sprint, he worked for a Satellite Carrier (Argo Communications) selling to other reseller customers.

Joining MCI in 1988, Mr. Buckle worked in the wholesale carrier group selling large complex contracts to reseller telephone companies. He then moved into MCI's Corporate Marketing Department managing its Partner/Affinity Marketing programs. Subsequently, he worked in MCI's Rye Brook, NY branch office selling to national and global accounts where he closed out his 14-year career at MCI as a sales branch manager before starting Mygrotel.
